Manufacturing System Requirements

Client PC*

Minimum hardware

•  An IBM® compatible computer with a 1GHz (or equivalent) processor
•  512MB RAM
•  400MB of free disk space after Microsoft® Windows has been installed

Recommended hardware

•  An IBM® compatible computer with a 2GHz (or equivalent) processor
•  At least 1GB RAM
•  At least 600MB of free disk space after Windows has been installed

Server*

•  An IBM-compatible processor (3GHz or greater) running one of the operating systems listed below with at least 2 GB of memory.

The amount of data storage capacity required depends entirely on the number and size of the databases you require your server to support.

One of the following operating systems*

•  Microsoft® Windows 2000
•  Windows Server 2003
•  Windows XP (Recommended),
•  Windows Vista

Please ensure that you have the latest Microsoft updates installed.

Performance will be improved with higher specification computers & networks.

Works with Microsoft Office 2000 and all later editions.

This product will not install or run on the Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, or Windows NT4 operating systems.

Users of networked versions should use one of the following networks:

•  Microsoft Windows Networking
•  Novell Netware v5.0
•  Novell Netware v6.0

N.B. Microsoft SQL Server will not install onto a Novell Netware Server. It must be installed onto a server running one of the Microsoft Windows products.

One of the following Accounts products:

• Sage 50 Financial Controller v2007 and v2008

*Note: These system requirements are for guidance only. Hardware requirements will vary dependent upon usage of the Sage Manufacturing product; in particular, they do not take into account other applications running on the same Client PC or server.
